The individual and collective efforts of staff working in teaching and areas of the student experience are recognised through awards at individual, school, faculty, University and national levels.
The University has achieved notable success in Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning, Awards for Teaching Excellence and Fellowships from the Office of Teaching and Learning. The UWA Awards for Excellence in Teaching, UWA Faculty Teaching Awards and UWA Contributions to Student Learning Awards are awarded each year to outstanding staff and programs.

The University has received 46 Citations for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, six Awards for Programs that Enhance Learning, four Awards for Teaching Excellence and two Fellowships from the Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) from 2006-2012.

The UWA Executive Information System (EIS) provides analysis of the University's performance over time against plans and relative to other institutions. The University also participated in the Group of 8’s (Go8’s) Quality Verification System (QVS) which is a process of external, discipline-led, academic peer review of final year undergraduate student outcomes.
The UWA Annual Reports summarise the University's activities over the stated year. It is an official report on its operations, statistical profile, financial statements and performance indicators. The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) provides and reports and communicates progress to UWA governing bodies including the Senate and Academic Board.
