CAIDi (Curriculum Approvals Information Database online) is a UWA-developed curriculum management system that is used for developing, changing, approving and managing curriculum information.

Who is this advice sheet for?

This advice sheet is designed to assist stakeholders who are interested in viewing and/or reporting newly approved and/or recently changed curriculum datat. It describes the different types of reports that are available and explains how to export data into an Excel format.

Search for a curriculum

From the home screen, select the 'Search' tab to view the Search screen. The screen dynamically updates depending on your selection. For details refer to CAIDi Advice Sheet on Basics of Searching.

Running a report for selected curriculum items

A report for the selected curriculum items will be available by clicking on the Report button:

For further reporting options click on the summary button and select the Report tab as shown below.

Narrow your search by report type and/or date required.

Click on report generate to generate a report.

View changes to a curriculum item approved for the following year

Find a curriculum that has been approved for future years

To find newly approved curriculum to be taught from next year, use the Search screen and select the 'Curriculum type' (such as Majors or Units) with a 'Status' of 'Active'.

Choose the relevant 'Year approved' and set up the first year of offer to >=2015 as shown below:

Export CAIDi data into an Excel format

Use 'Search' to display relevant curriculum. Click the export button button (found at the bottom of the screen).

Although CAIDi performs well in Internet Explorer, the use of Chrome, Firefox or Safari is recommended. At UWA contact your local IT support to gain access to them.
