Welcome to Curriculum Management

Are you designing a new curriculum item or reviewing existing curriculum? The information on Curriculum Management webpages provides support on how to:

  • propose a new curriculum
  • propose changes to a curriculum
  • find relevant policy and guidelines
  • learn more about critical dates
  • find out details about approving boards

Curriculum Management at a glance

All new curriculum proposals are drafted and endorsed at faculty level before being submitted for central committee approval. Once approval is obtained, details of the curriculum item are distributed to relevant stakeholders (such as Student Systems to update Callista) and published in the UWA Handbook. The New proposals section has more details.

When changes are required for a curriculum item, a change form is completed, endorsed at the faculty level and submitted for central committee approval. Details of the approved change are distributed to relevant stakeholders and are published in the UWA Handbook. The Change proposals section has more details.

New proposals and changes to existing curriculum are managed via CAIDi.

What is CAIDi?

CAIDi is UWA's online curriculum management system. It is used for developing, changing and managing curriculum information. Go to CAIDi information and help for more details.

For security reasons you must be connected to the UWA network to access CAIDi. If you are working externally, you can use UniConnect VPN Service provided by Business Information and Technology Services (BITS) to connect to the UWA network.

Permissions

Every staff member with a current Pheme password has 'read approved' permission by default, allowing them to view information about proposed and approved curriculum.

Before you can start drafting a new proposal and/or change proposal you will need permission. Faculty permissions are managed by a Faculty Curriculum Officer or other designated faculty staff. Contact your faculty to seek relevant permission.
